I really enjoyed this steamy, second chance Christmas romance between a Hollywood actor and a casting director. Featuring two Latinx MCs, this was great on audio narrated by Lola James and worked as a standalone. If you're looking for a fun and heartfelt holiday read this was a perfect little treat by one of my fav new authors! Definitely recommended!

Second chance romance is not my fave, but these characters showed the necessary growth. Also, the cause of their break-up was more external than relationship-oriented, so that helped.

I was tickled to discover the mention of Alexis Daria's character from You Had me at Hola, Jasmine Lin Rodriguez. If Adriana and Alexis ever decide to co-write a book about the making of the fictional series starring Gael and Jasmine (and hopefully featuring their significant others, too), I would snap that up in a heartbeat!

This was just so good! I loved their time together, the food descriptions, the time with his family, the steam. It reminded me of the old holidays with my family. What a great book.

second chance romances are really hard for me to enjoy yet i still pick them up??? 🤦🏽‍♀️ i did have a good time with this one though!! the forced proximity aspect was great & i just loved the whole betrayal aspect by [redacted]. it was a little cliché but it was my kind of cliché.

Really loved to see several aspect of Latinx Christmas traditions although it wasn't super Christmas-y which could be a positive or negative depending on what you're looking for.

I really like their relationship and interactions but I didn't love the conflict trope of leaving someone for their own good/ for their success. Based on that, I felt like Gael needed to do more groveling.

I liked the insert of the villain and thought that was really interesting so I wanted to see a little more of that. The end was a little rushed.

Overall really enjoyed see Latinx love - it can be hard to find in books but I can always rely on Herrera for this. This would be great for someone who is looking for a sweet, second chance romance that just happens to happen during the holidays.
