This book was so dripping with optimism and perfect endings it grossed me out. It also, shockingly, made me tear up briefly. But truthfully I skimmed the last quarter once the tension expired and they moved towards marriage. Totally hokey and full of perfectly boxed people.
Just felt so childish between the two main characters, like I know this is based in a school setting but it was so immature it was crazy
this was a really long and somewhat drawn out book. but overall a really cute story with deep hitting issues.
DNF at 55%. I was so excited to give this a try, a teacher romcom should be right up my alley. Unfortunately I found the characters very two-dimensional and the plot super predictable. I really wasn't enjoying it and instead just trying to read it to have it done and then I remembered I actually can put a book down if I'm not enjoying it. Crazy!! Maybe I'm just not in a rom com season of my life. Oh well!

This was an enjoyable read. After the first few chapters I wasn't sure what I was going to get, but it turned out to be really cute. I thought the characters were fun and had a lot of chemistry, even though Sam rubbed me the wrong way in the beginning. But he redeemed himself and was actually such a caring person/teacher!
There was third act drama that I could have done without, and with Juliet being so organized, I found her forgetfulness out of character. Also, being a teacher, some of the education stuff had me giving a bit of a side eye. Even so, I thought this was a solid read, which also had a lot to do with some side characters, Mason and Pops in particular!
