Gay people in MY Star Wars book?!? It’s more likely than you think, but seriously, I love this book and it raised my anxiety levels in all the best ways. I’m really happy that there is so much representation in The High Republic.
Graphic: Death of parent, Medical content, Gun violence, Death, Blood, Gore, and Grief
Moderate: Abandonment, Confinement, and Kidnapping

I really liked all the connections to and implications for the rest of the High Republic phase 1 series, but the pacing was inconsistent. I wanted to spend more time on things that were glossed over or hastily resolved in a page, but other things were repeated more than necessary. The book is worth reading to see familiar characters and to understand the setup for Tempest Runner (and I’m sure further books as well), but this is the weakest THR project to-date, in my opinion.
Graphic: Abandonment and Murder
Moderate: Kidnapping, Death, and Violence
