this was just… bad…

my main problem was that it was entirely too short. and not in the sense of “i love it so much i never want it to end!” it was actually because not a single thing was fleshed out at all. this easily could have been a 300-400 page christmas romance book. the concept was so fun, but the execution was severely lacking.

we start out with kennedy being extremely antagonistic towards riley, but then never get a reason for that or a resolution. all of a sudden they’re in love? this was the worst case of insta-love i have ever witnessed in a book.

everything was so incredibly surface level and it was very disappointing. so much potential just down the drain.

Short, sweet, and to the point. I love quick books like this that give me all the lovey dovey feelings. A quick pick me up after some of my recent sad reads. Def cute though, and not too holiday-ish.

This book was fun. It brought the Christmas vibes with fake dating. It was a nice quick easy read. I thought some of their previous loves were abit too traumatic for such a short book, it could of been made more simple. But in saying that some parts were relatable with their families

This had an interesting premise, the main characters share the same name but in reverse. So emails intended for Riley Kennedy went to her co-worker Kennedy Riley. When her email to an advice columnist gets sent to Kennedy, he decides to forward it to her but with his unsolicited opinions.

This leads to some snarky emails back and forth. However at the office party they finally meet each other and Riley finds out just how hot Kennedy is in person. They strike up a deal to be each others dates for holiday events. Riley takes him home to her family's Christmas event and she goes to his brothers wedding.

There are some twists and turns and they both realize that while they were pretending their feelings became more real. There area also some deep moments in this book that Kennedy has to struggle through.

Overall it was a good real, it was a slow burn but also a clean romance so it didn't completely snag my attention. I did like them as a couple though and found them sweet and cute.

This was a quick little cute Christmas novella. I don’t really have much to say beyond that. It was hallmark movies in a hundred pages.

awww. Ok, enough of the sappy Christmas novellas for me right now. Time to get back into something a bit heavier, but this was just plain adorable. Yes, kind of predictable, but overall I simply adored it.

Riley Kennedy and Kennedy Riley, how cliché could that be? But alas, it's a fun little office enemies to lovers story with just the right amount of hallmark type shmooz.

This book was so unbelievably adorable! I would love to hear more about this couple. Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward have outdone themselves again. I have nothing negative to say about this book, I just wish it was longer because I didn’t want it to end.
I loved that they had a meet cute and a enemies to lovers thing going on, as well as fake dating and angst and just so much! This book is the ultimate Christmas book and if you haven’t read it yet you need to!

It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to rate this. I debated between 2 and 3 stars. It started out great and then Kennedy’s first POV chapter happened. He was vulgar, disgusting, and overall rude. I wanted to completely skip over his POV Chapters.
It was overall a cute story and I enjoyed the narrators which is why I went with 3 stars.
