'When a pilot suffers a heart attack at 35,000 feet, a commercial airliner filled with passenger’s crashes into a nuclear power plant in the small town of Waketa, Minnesota, which becomes ground zero for a catastrophic national crisis with global implications.
The International Nuclear Event Scale tracks nuclear disasters. It has seven levels. Level 7 is a Major Accident, with only two on record: Fukushima and Chernobyl. There has never been a Level 8. Until now.'
Another stonking book from T J Newman. I inhaled this book in one sitting.
For someone that does not live far from a Nuclear Power Station, this was an eye opener. You always assume if anything was to happen you would not know anything about it, but now I know that might not be the case.
This book put me on edge right at the start and to be honest left me on edge for a while afterwards. It made me cry and I became so attached to the characters, this was far from an easy read emotionally as much as it as a fast and easy read to actually read.
T J Newman has a style of writing that draws you in and makes you invested in the characters in such a way that they stay with you after you have finished the book.
She is now an auto buy author and I can't wait for the next one.
