I’ve been waiting to get to this book and I’m so torn. Was I rooting for Eloise to find love and do something magnificent with her life? Yes! Even though I expected way more, I love that Eloise is a great mother and truly cares for her entire family. Was I disappointed in Sir Phillip as both a father and a spouse? Yes! I wish he didn’t ignore his children for most of the book. I wish he didn’t say marriage was only about sex. I feel like grief and abuse made it more likely he would be nervous and struggle as a father but I don’t think not talking to your children at all while they are also grieving is acceptable. I will say that I loved the first and second epilogue. Where you can truly see the growth he has for his wife and children. All in all, I have to give this a 3 star because I still read this book in a day because I loved Eloise and the tight knitted Bridgertons.

Book Eloise is a total vibe and made this an easy read but Philip was emotionally unavailable and only managed to redeem himself in the last couple of chapters!

Mi ha fatto schifo. Tanto.
Julia torna a parlare di tè e salotti che parlare di stupri e depressione non fa per te.

We love Eloise! (But she could’ve done better…)
