Definitivamente es mi libro favorito, gracias a este libro pude enamorarme de la lectura y desde entonces se ha vuelto un hábito. Este libro ha crecido conmigo y cada vez que vuelvo a el me parece que cambia conmigo y lo veo de otra forma. La historia es cruel, aterradora y triste pero con lo que me quedo es con la esperanza. A pesar de todo. Flores en el ático es mi amigo y me ha acompañado en mi propio encierro. Espero volver a él siempre.

A deeply horrific novel about cyclical nature of generational trauma and abuse. I truly cannot believe some people read this in their teens… my god was this one of the most horrific books I’ve ever read, but I COULDN’T stop reading, it felt like rubbernecking at a car crash…

I read this when I was a young lady, loved it! At some point I will read it again, hopefully it will still hold the same charm.
The reasoning for keeping the kids locked up in the attic, was not at all existing if you read the last chapter. The mother in this book is so annoying, mean to her kids for absolutely no reason, and stringing her kids along with bad and meaningless excuses- to make her kids believe she is doing What's best for her kids.
Liker ikke lese om barn som blir torturert og dør av ingen grunn. Syntes ikke noe om å bruke uskyldige barn til å «skape auction/ spenning» det er ekkelt…
