I hated this book. Not well written, the plot meandered, it barely held my attention and I was LISTENING to it.

I did not figure out the main plot lines early so I really appreciate that!

Wow. I feel as if most twists I read are for the thrill and not intricately woven in. This is my second book of Feeney’s, she continues to raise the bar. These characters are deeply complex and everything evil seems to come together. This was a quick read but the morals of these characters are lingering! It brings a lot of interesting points  to the conversation of nurture vs nature, even as a very clear work of fiction. The detailed perspective of a patient in the coma was unique and an interesting read.

I just love Alice Feeney, thanks to my daughter for this Christmas present that I couldn't put down, which is a trend for me with Feeney books. The unreliable narrator and timelines kept me reading "one more chapter" until it was done!!!
