This is probably my favorite Alice Feeney book so far. I felt like it was a bit less predictable than the others I’ve read. There were some twists that J did figure out, but since there were so many I didn’t see all of them coming. I will say that because of that, it feels like there are some loose ends we don’t get a resolution for. But I think there’s a sequel coming out/already out?

what the FUCK was this book. i thought i knew what was going on and then it just kept turning and twisting. the reveals had me in shock every time, though the ending was ugggh.
there is a graphic rape scene 80% of the way through the book as a warning.

This book broke me lol. I've been reading fantasy romances since because this book was such a bummer. It's just a real feel-bad story. It doesn't have a happy ending as far as I'm concerned. So many terrible things happen from start to finish. I hated all of the characters.

please PLEASE check the trigger warnings  before reading!!

i felt like the coma chapters were really slow and dragged for me. the twists were okay but some of them seemed so pointless. some of the twists were unnecessary and awful. it brought the book down so far for me. there was no reason for some of the book content to be in there.
