A good continuation in the series, but not particularly memorable. New characters are introduced, but Bill and Eric are still mostly absent. This book has more focus on Sookie's fairy ancestry than the other books in the series. It's all interesting, but not particularly compelling.

Note: For this series, I highly recommend the audio version. Johanna Parker does a great job with the audio narration, adding extra personality and oomph to the book, which I think it benefits from, as the writing is fairly simplistic.

I have been enjoying listening to the this series. However, even though there were two main conflicts I did not feel they were "exciting" enough and they were resolved fairly early on in the stories leaving the last 1-2 hours boring.

The most interesting part was Sookie's personal life. I HATED what happened between Quinn and Sookie BUT I do feel it was ultimately for the best. I am still upset about Alcide and all his drama and his treatment of my girl Sookie. Also, Bill better take a hike and I hope Sookie never gives him another chance. Eric is still not my favorite and I don't know if it will process to more. Sam is on the top of my list of candidates to be Sookie's man. He time and time again proves he is the best one suited for her. I am really hoping they are end game.

JASON can kick rocks, makes me sad af for Sookie to be stuck with type of sibling. Glad to know she actually has more family out there.
