I like this book a lot. The plot takes you to a lot of different places and through a variety of emotions. At first I didn’t find the characters compelling, but the author has a way of slowly introducing their best traits, so that by the time you’re meeting the rising action, you are really cheering for them. That’s where this book shines, and I’m glad I stuck through to the end. The book takes caution to avoid cliches. I also appreciate the realism, I was able to stay fully immersed in the work the entire time.
