Love me an age gap romance. Kennedy and Cain didn’t disappoint me. Loved every second of this book, their love story was beautiful. The easiness of it warmed my soul, yet their pasts had me heartbroken. I adore how they were there for each other and how they understood one another. I’d say the plot of this book was a lot less tense than her other books. Don’t get me wrong though, there’s still mystery and an overall suspense as to what’s happening

This was such a cute read. I loved the opposites attract personalities between Kennedy and Cain. I love how protective Cain was over Kennedy but I HATE the trauma of his past that caused him to be that way. I felt so bad for him but I loved watching them go from strangers, to friends to lovers. Their story line was definitely my second favorite making a close second to Tucker and Jensen. I loved how Kennedy slowly opened up to Cain but I just hated the double standard that he refused to do the same. I understand the trauma but demanding Kennedy to do something that Cain in turn refused to do was very frustrating and I was also kind of annoyed how Kennedy was just okay with Cain not opening up to her about it past. I will say overall though I did really love this story and LOVED how protective Cain was and how you really started to see him fall in love with her.

Catherine has became my second favourite author who gives me my fix in the form of small town roamnces with suspensful twist.

Once again, thanks to Catherine, I spent two very pleasant evenings in a small town in the USA.
Beautifully Broken Control, book 4 in the Sutter Lake series, is a story of two beautiful people who unjustly carry a crushing burden of guilt on their shoulders. At first glance, Cain and Kennedy are very different from each other. They come from two different worlds. They are guided by completely different principles in life. There is no way they could get along. But with every chapter, getting to know them better, you can see that they are made for each other! Cain and Kennedy think they have their emotions under control, but it's just a pretense that hides a devastating sense of guilt and pain.
Their story is really a great example of the power of love, family, and friendship to overcome difficult moments in life.
I love this kind of story that can inspire readers who are going through hard times or make them think and reflect on their own lives.

Book 4 in the Sutter Lake series and... I didn't particularly like this one. I don't think either character was that well developed because they both carry a lot of baggage, yet I don't really feel like I know either of them well enough to understand. Kennedy was fine, if a little too stubborn. Cain was just, not my guy. He was too overprotective, too guarded, and definitely did not do enough groveling for the many times he treated Kennedy like shit. This one was not my vibe.

I loved this one! Again I couldn’t guess the twist! I think one hunch was right but it was nothing major. Catherine is just so good at keeping me hooked and on my toes!

This age gap worked seamlessly. Like I knew they had one, but Kennedy and Cain just fit so perfectly for each other. They both have things in their pasts they are dealing with and I liked how that all played out.

A great an edition to the series that I couldn’t put down!
