This was okay, but I found it a bit boring overall. Kinda slow paced even though it skips forward quite a lot.
it has a lot going on and I found some of the commentary a bit basic or not fully explored (like ohhh Internet Bad - it does somewhat get into the fact that the capitalism is the problem with that but not entirely)
I liked the concept of the ending but it took a while to get there. Would probably have preferred more focus on the white alice people.

This book was a little too close to home for me. There's been a major climate crisis that not a lot of the world survived, it helped to have a lot of money and live in a separate, sanitized, closed off community if you wanted to survive, and young women were forced to be sex workers in order to survive. 100% triggering for me, not something I wanted to spend my time reading.

I enjoyed the story telling and general plot line, but I loved the social commentary and took quite a lot away from that aspect. It stayed pretty interesting consistently, but I don't think it was the kind of book I'd put front and center on my bookshelf to rave about.
