We listened to this together, and both my older kids (10 and 6) loved it! The writing is wonderfully descriptive and sensory, but the language is simple enough for my kindergartner to understand. We loved her wonderful days in the meadows with the goats and the flowers, and wondered at what would happen when she went to live in town. The whole thing was a wonderful story, highlighting natural scenes and sweet relationships between new people.

Highly recommend.

I cannot believe I have read this book soo late! Such a simple and beautiful book. Throughout the book I kept picturing the Swiss aLps and could smell the fresh grass

What a heart-warming story. I had forgotten a lot of it since hearing it as a child. This audiobook was really done well and I would recommend it. Now I want to go to Switzerland!!

A heartwarming, innocent tale ideal for a bedtime story, though there was lots of bouncing and excited squeals at times!
