Abby Jimenez never misses. This book warmed my heart, then ripped it out and stomped all over it, then put it back in a thousand times over. If you have mommy issues, make sure you think long and hard about whether you’re ready to think about them because this book will really give you something to think about. Emma and Justin had a sweet, simple bond that I think spoke to the message of the book. Something uncomplicated between them in their extremely complicated lives. At any rate, this book is an emotional rollercoaster, but Jimenez treats it with beautiful, tender care.

Another sweet love story by AJ! This was a great addition to her ‘series’ and the character overlap gave you extra OMG moments if you’ve read POYW and Yours Truly before this.
I thought it was incredibly unique to read a story about the relationship between daughter and toxic mother and the effects on the characters life. Beautifully written, immersive, and had me tearing up more than once. 🥰

This book really highlighted what trauma does to a person, and the damage it does to others. It was so beautifully, and in my opinion, realistically excecuted. Not only did Abby Jimenez show personal, and difficult problems the MCs had, but how they solved them together or individually. I appreciated everything in this book, and it made me laugh out loud too much!
