I just think that AL Jackson can write such flawed bad boys who really underneath are just the best men ever !!!
Jace Jacobs - phew !!! he has loved Faith all his life- from their childhood romance through the years when he was apart from her - keeping his distance but was thinking about her all the time.
He is such a great character and the plot around the family dynamics are great and I thought this was what made this book one I could not put down and had to find out how it ended.
It is such an angsty read, the author gives such detailed feelings from the main characters it just draws you in and pulls at all the heartstrings, the sign of a great writer.
I would absolutely recommend this book and I am so excited to read her back list - she can write such great child characters too which adds another dimension to the story.
One of my favourite romances I have read this year. An underrated author in my opinion.
Pick it up !!!

Jace is the towns bad boy. Faith ends up falling for him but things happen and Jace has to leave faith. Years later Jace comes back to protect faith and her daughter, Bailey. Faith hasn’t forgiven him for leaving her behind.

this one had me hooked. I really enjoyed the suspense here. the second chance. the angst!!
I didn’t expect the person who did it to be the person who did it lol.

I liked seeing the flashbacks and how their love story started. You could feel the longing between Jace and Faith. I also loved the bond between Jace & Bailey. It was the sweetest.

read this if you like :

  • small town romances with suspense
  • second chance
  • she’s a widow with a child
  • bad boy x good girl

“My only hope is that . . . you’ll remember exactly who I am. That boy who fell in love with a girl who became his world. The only thing I want is to give the world to you. I’ll be waiting at our roses. Let’s dream again.”

More of You is an emotional, suspenseful, seductive and breathtakingly beautiful second-chance romance.

A.L. Jackson’s lyrical writing captures your heart in a vice grip that makes you feel every emotion so intensely – the sorrow, the heartbreak, the despair, the hope, the love, the dreams. Jace and Faith’s story will sweep you away like a turbulent wave ready to break against the shore. Where pasts and presents collide and broken hearts get a chance to dream again.

“You are love, Faith. You are my heart. You are my beauty. My world doesn’t know how to exist without you.”

Tears streaked down her face. “Then let me be yours. Forever. Don’t leave me, because I need you more than I’ve ever needed anything in my life. Tell me you’ll stay . . . because I don’t wanna go on dreamin’ without you.”

I can already tell that the Confessions of the Heart series is going to be another absolutely amazing trio of interconnected stand-alone novels. I cannot wait to drive back into this world in the upcoming All of Me and Pieces of Us.

5+ stars!!

This may be A.L. Jackson's best book yet!! I absolutely l love it!! LOVE!! Beautifully written, emotional, suspenseful, angsty, this second chance romance was simply perfect. More of You is the kind of book that stays with you hours, days, weeks later. It's an all consuming, heart pumping, stomach tightening, eye stinging kind of book. There were times where I had to put it down because I was so overwhelmed with emotions for these characters. I needed a minute to regroup. I don’t think I could recommend a book any stronger than I recommended this one. It’s a definite must read.

I am a characters girl. If you can make me feel genuine warm feelings towards your characters, you usually have me. A.L. Jackson has me. Jace and Faith are brilliant!! With his hard, world is out to get me, on our own outlook on life combined with her innate ability to see the good in everyone made for a beautiful balance. She was his “Beauty” and he was her “Beast”.
A.L. Jackson did a fantastic job developing the relationship between Jace and Faith; jumping between the past, when they fell so madly in love to the present, 10 years later, when they’re forced to rebuild what they loss. It didn't feel rushed or forced. The flow was nice. A delicious slow burn.

One of my favorite trait a man - real and fictional - can possess is protector. When they'll risk their own good to ensure the safety of the ones they love is incredibly sexy to me. Jace Jacobs is the epitome of a protector. Oh man! Did I ever swoon. Everything he did for his family, everything he sacrificed, was so powerful. God! It broke my heart to see him hurt as a result. However, he would go through it all again because underneath the trouble and the attitude that's who he is. A protector. He is one of my favorite A.L. Jackson characters. I want more of him.

One more thing. This book gave me some serious A Stone in the Sea vibes. It gave me that same feeling of anticipation especially with the mystery and danger surrounding Faith. I was addicted to it. I couldn't get enough.

More of You is only the first book in the Confessions of the Heart series by A.L. Jackson. I can't wait to see what is next!!

More of You is the first book in a new series by A.L. Jackson. It is wonderful book and a great start to the series! Faith and Jace have known each other for years and met in school. Jace doesn’t have an easy home life and leaves for a period of time. Faith finds herself in an unfortunate situation and the story takes off from there. There’s twists and turns, suspense, laughter, love and steamy sex! Fantastic writing!! I can’t wait for book two!!

The storyline was super slow and drawn out. The female main character was so naive it bugged me the whole time, smh.

The audio was amazing! Joe and Andi are always dependable for that IMO.

This was a loooong one and I found myself impatient at points BUT it was worth it. The story was complex and the flashbacks were so well done!

Faith was such a likable character. She was much stronger than she understood. I didn’t like anything that happened with Joseph but considering she was sooo young and dealing with the disappearance of Jace, I found it reasonable. Speaking of Joseph…he was the human equivalent of a trashcan. And by the end I felt his outcome was earned.

Jace had a shit ton of unfortunate events all conspiring against him. The way he was able to make something of himself and come back to protect Faith and Bailey was so sweet and commendable. He really was such a good man even tho he didn’t think he was in any way.

This was a super slow burn with not much heat but what we did get was very satisfying.

There were several moments that broke my heart but the epilogue healed all those wounds!

A masterful tale of love at it's finest

Beautifully written tale of a love that consumes . A love that forgives and transcends all transgressions with its healing and soul consuming powers. This tale is essentially about two people torn apart by lies and separated by time , to be brought back together when lives are at stake and the world as they know it is crumbling around them. Will the odds that are stacked against them keep them from finding the happiness they both deserve? Or will the sabotage themselves with doubts and insecurities? This is by far one of A.L. Jackson's greatest works and deserves every one of the five stars I have given to it. It has everything I could ever want in a story, and even had me shedding a year I did not expect to shed. Thank you for sharing your immense talent with the world. Your stories will forever be treasured.

Just…wow. Is there anything better than a good second chance romance? No, there isn’t. Don’t fight me on it. This literally had everything I love in a romance. I felt pain from the first to the last chapter.

* Second chance ✅
* Cute little kid the MMC falls absolutely head over heels in love with ✅
* Flashbacks to the past ✅
* A million beautiful declarations of love ✅ Anyone else annoyed when there is like one pitiful “I love you” in the whole book? Yeah, me too.
* So much angst and passion ✅
* And maybe my all time favorite second chance microtrope - when the FMC spots some “meaningful” tattoo that the MMC got during their time apart. I eat that shit up with a spoon ✅

My only major gripe was that the flashback chapters were written in third person POV (the rest is in first person). Like whyyyy?? It was so unnecessary. It totally took me out of it and made those chapters hard to connect with and enjoy.

The flashback chapters were a big part of the book but didn’t have that same oomph that the rest of it did. For two people who made me feel their love in the present day so strongly, I feel the flashback chapters could have been written better. But other than that very very enjoyable read and I loved it ❤️

Jace and Faith were destined at 16. Their love was young, innocent, and pure, but the secrets Jace was hiding were anything but. At 18 he abruptly left Faith, blaming his shortcomings bringing her down and left her in broken pieces.

10 years later, Jace comes back to town to check on Faith, who just lost her husband (Stephen) and is being stalked. When he comes in, she is not welcoming. He decides to help fix up the house she’s always dreamt of being in since they were kids, and started building their friendship back.

Once things got heated with her stalker, more information came out about her late husbands activities and how much she didn’t know him. There’s so much suspense and you never know what is going to happen.
