It felt implicitly racist and fat phobic… the storyline was a good idea if it had it be executed better

This is such a beautiful book. It felt like failing in love for the first time all over again. It was lighthearted and heavy, sometimes passionate and cold. The main characters are so unique with their passion for music and comic books. I have such major book hanger with the way the things are ended in the book, but I’m still so glad I checked it out in my library. Sure the lines were cheesy and things were so cliche and fast, but I loved it because it brought nostalgia and feelings back from my first love.
