This series is excellent and I honestly think would be more popular if the cover art wasn’t atrocious.
If you’re looking for ACOTAR level spice, this isn’t the series for you. But there is abundant sapphic yearning with a well-built world and interesting political plot.

Wow, this was just as good as the first one, if not better. I loved the flashbacks, letting me see the characters’ pasts and getting to know them better. Yes, the two main characters were kept apart for most of the book, and I was glad I was forewarned about that by other reviews, but honestly I didn’t have a problem with it. It made sense and I loved each of their story lines, and when they met up again it was brilliant. Can’t wait to read the third part!
Soldier of Dorsa was an exhilarating second book in the Dorsa series. It is well written and exciting. Action packed but not over the top. The story line is well thought out and flows nicely from the first book. We learn more about the characters, especially through flashbacks which add depth (& are fun!). Very much looking forward to the third book.
***Mild spoiler***
Joslyn and Tasia are amazing both together and separate. Reading about strong queer women is thrilling and I love that cool women are central throughout the story beyond the two leads.
Thank you Eliza for giving us this tale! It is a joy to be immersed in this world. I have high hopes for book 3!

I did it! Persevering through this book felt like masochism at times. I love Joslyn and Tasia so much and I just want them to live happily ever after! Is it too much to ask for a fantasy book to be set in a non-heteronormative world where lesbians can just rule a fucking kingdom together!?
Despite all the nerve-wracking foreshadowing, I must forge ahead to the final book in the trilogy.
