“Maybe God leaves stretch marks on women to direct us home”

Jasmine Mans is a great poet and an even better spoken word artist. There is power in her voice. I enjoyed her book “Black Girl, Call Home”. As a black woman, it spoke to me, it epitomized what it means to be a black woman. My only complaint is that some poems were too short and I’d have loved to hear her read her work, to hear her poems in her voice. I’d recommend this book of poetry and gladly read it again.
