Oh my god. I mean wow. A book hasn't gripped me that hard in a while. I just devoured half of it in one sitting. I cried like 6 or 7 times.
There's aspects that aren't quite perfect (sometimes comically so) but they're not particularly important to the actual plot. Otherwise this is just a beautiful story, with characters that feel like they've been pulled right off the street, about identity, and love, and growing up.
