too dense for me i fear... will probably have to start from the beginning if i want to reread someday
Phenomenal book on one of the most interesting individuals of the Italian Renaissance. It felt almost as if though Isaacson was leading me through my very own personal tour of the Leonardo Da Vinci Museum.
I listened to it on audio, it's a long book, gets pretty boring at times

Hästi ja detailselt kirjutatud. Vähem oli elulugu, kui just kunstiteoste analüüsimist, mistõttu oli seda ka raske lugeda.

The book is interesting. While I’ve learnt quite a bit about Da Vinci, I was disappointed with how often things would be repeated, like concepts or facts already stated. That probably could've taken quite a bit off this book. I also didn't like how often the biographer’s voice would come through. I understand it is his work, but Isaacson heavily overshadowed Leonardo. On a more positive note, I did love learning about a man so dedicated to life? To perfection? It's hard to say what exactly captures Leonardo, but all I can say is his work is quite admirable. He also really gives me underlying ADHD patterns, of getting easily distracted and hyperactivity. I'm not doctor though and I'm certainly not trying to diagnose such a genius. Overall, I liked some parts of the book, but the overall voice was not appealing.
