The last thing Heather expects is to fall in love, but there he is, challenging her thoughts on life and opening her up to new experiences.
I really liked the idea of Jack following his grandfather's post World War II travels around Europe. I liked some parts of the story better than other. The author's writing was very lyrical, though, so I wouldn't hesitate to read another book by him – perhaps even a sequel to this book?

I did appreciate the ending of this book. Just disappointed in a love story that began as a friend’s trip around Europe but became independent, friend free love affairs. Not a huge fan. I liked different elements of the book, some were creative. An easy, cheesy read overall. Probably good for a European vacation

The Map That Leads to You is a New Adult fiction novel that takes place in Europe. After graduating, Heather and her two best friends go on their highly anticipated Europe trip, wanting to let loose before going back to real life where a new job was awaiting Heather. On a train ride to Amsterdam, Heather meets Jack and they hit it off straight away!
When Jack and Heather first meet, they’re both full of banter and they keep teasing and flirting with each other. They cross paths again at a party in Amsterdam and they feel a pull towards each other so they start spending more and more time together.
Heather, being the well-organised person that she is, planned to mostly visit all the typical tourist spots but Jack makes her loosen up and be more adventurous. Instead of seeing the typical sights, Jack surprises her by showing her a special place in every country.
They sneak into a horse barn in Amsterdam and sleep there over night, they plant a tree in the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris (which was kind of illegal but who cares it was so ROMANTIC). It was so lovely to see Heather open up and just live in the moment! The both of them were really good for each other!
The thing that I probably loved the most about this book was the writing. I absolutely adored the descriptions of their journey all over Europe – it felt like I was right there, travelling along with them! The writing was so poetic, descriptive and metaphorical - it was simply beautiful. I loved everything about it. ❤
My heart is very happy after reading this book and I would 100% recommend it :’)

Ich weiß einfach nicht was ich dazu sagen soll. Ich kann mit diesem Buch absolut NICHTS anfangen.
Europa wurde schön beschrieben, aber das war es auch.
Die Charaktere fand ich fürchterlich. Es war so gewollt ... tiefgründig und alternativ und so stereotypisch. Ich fand es einfach einfach nur grauenvoll.
Ich weiß gar nicht wen ich mit mehr Passion nicht mag - Heather oder Jack. Beide sind mir einfach so unglaublich unrealistisch vorgekommen und so eindimensional. Ich weiß nicht ... mir fehlen einfach die Worte.
Und das Ende ... wenn man dramatisch sein will und nicht mehr weiß was man machen soll, dann macht man sowas.

“Un amor inevitablemente lleva consigo una gran perdida”
Empecé a leer este libro con muchas expectativas, la trama sonaba genial, libro de romance viajando por Europa. El libro empezó muy bien, el prólogo a sido de los capítulos mejores escritos que he leído, pero en cuanto te adentras a la historia el libro va perdiendo emoción. Lo primero que me empezó a quitar el gusto de leer el libro fueron los personajes principales, Heather y Jack. Estos dos personajes son insufribles, se quejan de todo, son demasiado cuadrados y llegan a ser groseros. Asi mismo, la manera en la que escribe el autor no me hace sentir nada ya que es mucho “tell instead of show”.
Pero no todo del libro fue malo, las descripciones de los lugares a los que viajan Heather y Jack tienen un lugar muy especial para mi, y las descripciones de los lugares locales te hacen sentir como si de verdad estuvieras ahí con ellos. Por otro lado, Constance y Amy, las mejores amigas de Heather, son lo que salvaron el libro para mi. La relación de Constance con Raef fue mucho mas entretenida y sana que la de los personajes principales y como madura y crece el personaje de Amy fue muy bonito de leer.
En conclusión este libro estuvo muy equis, no fue el mejor libro que he leído pero tampoco lo odie. Viajar a través de Europa junto con los personajes fue algo nostálgico para mi y Constance y Raef fueron mis personajes favoritos (me hubiera encantado que la historia fuera de su relación). Pero lamentablemente tuve un tiempo muy difícil tratando de seguir a Jack y Heather ya que ambos personajes son insufribles y la relación era muy toxica.
Hizo falta un epílogo.
“El amor que podamos encontrar en este mundo viene hacia nosotros y simultáneamente se aleja… El amor es fundamental y tan común como el pan, Si lo buscas, lo encontraras por todas partes y ya jamás vivirás sin el”

Heather ist Amerikanerin und verbringt ihren Sommer damit, mit ihren Freundinnen durch Europa zu reisen. Dabei trifft sie auf Jack, der auf den Spuren seines Großvaters unterwegs ist, und in den sie sich unsterblich verliebt. Die beiden verbringen einige Wochen zusammen, die kaum perfekter sein könnten und beschließen sogar ihre gemeinsame Zukunft. Doch dann verschwindet Jack plötzlich.
Liebe findet uns war ein kurzweiliger und wirklich schöner Roman, dem ich 3,5 Sterne geben möchte. Den Abzug gibt es, da ich, obwohl ich die Figuren sympathisch fand, nicht zu 100% mit ihnen warm wurde, mir fehlte auch ein bisschen der Witz. Den Schreibstil mochte ich gern und auch die Geschichte an sich - wirklich rührend fand ich die Handlung jedoch nicht, obwohl ich beim Lesen sonst oftmals eine Träne vergieße. Aus diesem Grund muss ich die 3,5 Sterne leider abrunden.
