“Shatter me, Vi. Break me. Destroy me.
I will love every moment of it, until we crash and burn.”

I loved this prequel for the dark court rising series. it's nice to know exactly how it happened. It made me love the couple even more.

I quite enjoyed this novella and I’m glad I read it at the stage I did.

The first book in this series did not really capture me the way a series should but this - this novella pulled me in. It had everything I was hoping for in the first book and I enjoyed watching Thi and Vi fall in love and get married. I also loved the spice. Unlike the first book, it was much more descriptive and detailed which is what I like in my spice.

However, it still doesn’t quite warrant a higher rating. This was enjoyable, I flew through it in a day but I highly doubt I will read this book, this series, again.

This is a fun prequel to the series. You see Vi and Thiago meet and witness the origin of the curse. There’s some nice spice and it’s quickly paced with good writing.

Honestly liked this even more than the first book! There’s something so much sweeter about a first meeting

This was a super short and sweet novella. The timeline is set before book one but I definitely suggest reading it after book one as it'll ruin a lot of plot twists! I loved being in Thiago's POV and hope the rest of the series incorporates his POV more. This also added a lot more details to the world building in this series.
