I have no idea what I just read. The only reason I read the whole thing is because I had to read it for school. I had no idea what was going on until I read multiple reviews, summaries, and reading guides. I couldn’t tell you a single thing a character did or what the intended lesson/moral/take-away the novel was aiming for. And what the hell was the point of putting one sentence on a page? Why was that the format for at least half of the book? This 350 page book is 150 pages at most. I'd say this book is a waste of time to read, but that'd be a lie since you can read the whole thing in less than an hour. What a stupid book.

It is always expanding to read a book that is not only decolonial in content but in form. Leanne Betasamosake Simpson abolishes binaries at every turn, not just man and woman but animal and human, human and spirit, individual and collective, prose and poetry, and past and present.

They do this all with incredible humor. The geese are both incredibly silly and profound in their wisdom on collective. Mindimooyenh's love of the Certified Value Tarp 15 x 20 in royal blue is absurd, and yet the tarps are perpetually useful in all endeavors.

Noopiming urges us to "Think think think before you speak, type, post." You can tell Leanne has done the same. She writes with great economy of language, making lessons salient and repetitions acicular.

I loved this book. The section on Canada geese made me really rethink my biases about those animals, and be more happy for their resilience in industrial society. This book is also a lovely audiobook.
