This was one of my favorite books in 4th grade, and am just finishing it with Mary Helen, my most current 4th grader. It's just as good as I remember it.

Better than I expected! Sweeter (haha) than the chocolate factory books. I really enjoyed it, imaginative story with good character development. Also humorous. Read it with my 9 year old son.

Such a nostalgic read- a childhood favourite, and it brought back so many wonderful memories. Roald Dahl’s writing is perfect & I may have to pick up some more of what I read when i was younger again soon!

I am finding that Roald Dahl is one of my very favorite authors, and it’s the lesser-known-to-me books that I love the most. I love this story of a boy and his dad having s grand adventure together. You really feel like you’re there, watching Danny and Dad in their escapade. I will never look at a pram the same way again!

Squeak! Squeak! I love bananas!
