A lovely story - I just wasn’t terribly fond of most of the illustrations.

I was in the mood for dinosaur picture books about *herbivores.* Brontorina popped up and was a sweet story about a ballerina whose size doesn't fit into the usual ballerina spaces. Her ballet teacher and other dancers help out.

A story of following your dreams - even if you are a brontosaurus - or cow.

Although she is a dinosaur, in her heart, Brontorina is a ballerina. She dances divinely, but she's just too big for the dance studio. Solution: take the dancers outdoors! The plot is very basic but the art is so charming. Nice to include in lessons on acceptance or "what makes me special". Pair this with "Belinda the Ballerina" by Amy Young, or "Big Frog Can't Fit In" by Mo Willems or "Ernest the Moose Who Doesn't Fit" by Catherine Rayner.

Brontorina is an Apatosaurus who has the heart of a dancer. The problem is she is soooo huge and doesn't fit in Madame Lucille's studio very well.

Very cute story and the illustrations portray Brontorina's dancing enthusiasm very well.

So sweet! Love the premise, and it allows for some fun voices. Although it probably wouldn't be good for storytime, since there are some plot points that rely very heavily on side conversations in speech bubbles (a pet peeve of mine--it makes it harder when reading aloud).

I appreciated the message of being inclusive, and framing a problem in a new way in order to find the solution. Dinosaurs doing ballet at the end was just adorable.
