I surprisingly really liked this. The dialogue was pretty natural & while I was pretty sure who the murderer was the story kept me second guessing myself.

This was a fun read. I really liked the format of the book and how it had the elements of the podcast, as well as going back and forth in the timeline. I wish I’d listened to the audiobook but the physical was still good to read.
I really did not guess at all that Emmett was the murderer so that was a good twist.

Listen for the Lie follows Lucy who is lured back to her hometown after a podcast comes out about her best friend, Savvy's, murder of which she was accused of. As she starts to work to uncover what happened in the past, she finds herself getting pulled back into the investigation into Savvy's death.
I really thought this book was so fascinating to read. I listened to the audiobook of this and I found that was the best way to read this book. It integrates the podcast element in with the actual story that was being told perfectly and I really loved that aspect of this book.
I also thought this was such a well written story. I really liked the fact that we got to follow Lucy and see her trying to solve what had happened to Savvy. It was so fascinating to see how people's ideas of her changed as new things came out on the podcast. I thought her trying to dive into this past that she doesn't remember was so fascinating and when it came to the twist I was completely surprised. Not in the way that it didn't make sense but in the way that Amy Tintera had cleverly weaved it al together.
Overall, I thought this was such a great thriller to read and I found it really fascinating. I can't wait to read more from Amy in the future and I would highly recommend picking this book up, especially on audio.
