What a dark read that had me on the edge. This is a very intense dark read that I strongly recommend you read the TW before reading this journey. This book keep me on the edge while reading and I loved this story.

Didn't like the writing. And how many times does he refer to his "beast"?

My my my!! This was my first book to read by WS Greer and oh my damn!
Never would I have imagined the twist and turned that would lead us to the end of this book! 10/10 recommend this book, full of spicy, sexy scenes, the drama!!!

I have read this author before and will be reading his other books. I did enjoy following Evan and Journey’s story. They both have a messed up past and that is what brings them together. Their past also affects the present and what they do together. Evan accidentally killed his sub and that is how he ended up finding Journey. Journey and Evan both match each other for sure and seem to work well together. They both will protect each other no matter the cost. Something seemed a little off with Journey who is the detective on the case but also wants to be Evans sub. The plot twist in the second epilogue makes me excited to read book 2.

This was my first W.S. Greer book and I was in for a journey with Evan and Journey herself. This was an interesting book. I'll be honest it wasn't until like 30% of the book that I started really getting into it. I also felt like I was in an episode of a very dark dark Criminal Minds, you know the part where in the beginning you see the crime being committed and even see the criminal.
I would warn anyone that this is very dark and ALL trigger warnings before turning the page. In this you see the psychological aspect of both sides of a d/s dynamic. But also please don't use this as a guide into your dynamic.
