the pacing of this comic is a bit off. everything happens at a breakneck speed, almost to its detriment. it’s why the ending feels so abrupt. the illustrations have a good grasp on the characters likeness without it passing into uncanny valley territory. the character dynamics are alright, but so far rather surface level. the little meta-references to the original were a bit too on the nose for my taste.
this comic was a cute time, and its always nice to see buffy again. the small plots that were set up in this issue i think respects the original story while still being its own thing.
