This read more like a YA book but was still good. It always surprises me when I read about mental institutions from the early 1900's and why a lot of women were sent.

It reminded me of Before We Were Yours bc it was hard to read some of the details and heartache, but you just had to find out what was going to happen. I cried at the ending.
