This is not as good as the first one and probably a bit too contrived, but still solidly entertaining. I love Vero, I was Team Julian but I guess Nick can stay, and I was surprisingly glad that Theresa got half a redemption arc. The audiobook kept me thoroughly entertained on my hottest long runs and that's all I could possibly want.

I keep going back and forth between 4 and 5 stars. After getting passed the initial anxiety I felt while reading the first book, I really like this series. It’s funny, sexy, and mysterious. A thriller that keeps me guessing but also laughing. I can’t wait for the 3rd book to come out in January!
