Relectura del libro pero esta vez en inglés.

I don’t read fantasy, but I was pressured into giving this a shot by my boyfriend. He was right; I freaking loved it.

It had all my favorite things.
• Found family ✅
• A bad ass/ rebellious female lead with a traumatic past ✅
• A bit of romance ✅
• A plot focused on sticking it to the man ✅

This will not be my last Brandy Sandy.

I love political fantasy and this satisfied me. I completely understand why people love these books. This is an underdog story. A small group of "thieves" working to overthrow an invulnerable force. What I really liked about this book was the small ways Brandon Sanderson showed how a system of oppression is harmful to everyone involved. Yes, there are levels of oppression, but at the end of the day, either noble or slave can only act at the whims of a tyrant.

Something else I found interesting in this book was the question of how do you make a people who has been oppressed for so long believe in hope. And the way sanderson creates hope makes so much sense (even though it was slightly devastating).

Every part of this book has a well thought out explanation, and I love it when everything in a fantasy world makes logical sense. Everything in this book made sense to me... except for the romance. This is the second brandon sanderson book i've read, and I just don't think he know how to right romance. His strength is the world building and interesting plots, not at all in character relationships. It's not terrible, but the relationship between Vin and Eland is so different than anything else in this book. While everything else was a slow build to a conclusion that just feels right, Vin and Eland felt forced and illogical.

I'm excited to read the next book. I want to see what will happen with the crew beyond kelsier. I want to see what will happen when there is such a large political power vacuum. I hope this series stay political and doesn't become just another humanity vs. darkness story.

Long-ish. Good wrap up with a small tease for things to come in the future.
