To be fair, I’m not a fan of westerns and I think I’ve already read this but, wasn’t a fan. Not a bad book over all but just didn’t get pulled in like I can. 2 1/2 ⭐️

The story starts off a bit slow, but towards the end you're really moving at a sprint! I think the thing I liked about it was the classic interaction between the Doctor and Martha, and how she can help pull the Doctor out of the sticky spots he gets himself into. :)
The spaceman in the old west is always an interesting pairing. Any time Martha gets a chance to shine is always a plus for me.

http://nwhyte.livejournal.com/1296994.html?#cutid1[return][return]The Doctor and Martha turn up in the Wild West of the 1880s and thwart an alien invasion. Will Thorpe has fun doing the accents.
Fun read that was faithful to the characters of the series. It was amusing to read descriptions to have the Doctor behaves.
Another DW audiobook read by the amazingly talented Will Thorp.
I really, really liked that one. It’s captivating, thrilling and very well written. Admittedly, I had a hard time imagining Ten and Martha in the “Wild West”, but strangely they totally fit in there. Plus, the location is not exactly the problem here. ;)
Very nice.
The Doctor and Martha Jones materialize in the Wild West, although the Doctor cautions Marsha that it’s not called that yet. The town of Redwater is being terrorized by two zombie desperados with some very potent lightning spouting side arms. They demand the whereabouts of a snake oil salesman that passed through recently. The extraordinary thing about his medicine was that it really worked. It cured many in town of the smallpox. Anxiety and horrific nightmares are, however, common side effects.
Perhaps more extraordinary is that this science fiction western with zombies, alien invaders, and blazing ray guns is quite entertaining. The author pulls it off very smoothly.

Solid Wild West Who adventure, with bloody-minded killer aliens and Tenth Doctor snark and strength. This one's a Martha Jones with a cool Pawnee character and an ambiguous villain. Enjoyable; reads like an episode you wish they'd made. Best bit: Martha names her horse Rose in a fit of pique.
