This was the best book yet. It is hard for me to be truly surprised by events in books, but this one managed to surprise me several times. It was wonderful.

How to construct a review without revealing what happens? Well, only thing I can really say its like the Star Wars movie Revenge of the Sith. Critical opinion of the SW prequel trilogy aside, things build up in the first 2 parts then suddenly all bets are off in the 3rd. The entire landscape just completely changes and George RR Martin does a brilliant job all the way through.

“My skin has turned to porcelain, to ivory, to steel.”

Absolutely phenomenal writing. The ending!! I just don’t know how you write a story this big and expansive and make it so personal at the same time.
