Sue Miller varies as a writer from excellent to mediocre This book I would call good.

Interesting read touches some difficult issues in life. Definitely an adult read and I was a bit disturbed by some things.

Gave up on this book half-way through. I didn't care about the characters and just couldn't make myself keep reading. And I rarely, if ever, don't finish a book.

So I bought this because Stephen King gave it a glowing review in Entertainment Weekly? And umm...yeah. I have no idea why. It wasn't crap - but....ummmm...yeah.

This was not my favourite of Sue Miller's novels but it was an interesting read.
