I don't know how I feel about this book. I was interested in the storyline enough to start and finish in a day but I constantly felt like I was at a meeting for addictions recovery or something. "Choose the light. Choose compassion. Don't give in to your feelings for vengeance." "I forgive you for trying to kill me!" Basically it felt like a handbook for wayward teens. I was never a wayward teen and I'm certainly not one now.

/sigh/ I'll still read the third book.

Gena Showalter's writing is so much better than this. I'm not a fan of the series (so far) and Lifeblood is disappointingly mundane. I can't connect with any of the characters and Ten's number and poetry obsessions are more annoying than quirky. Lifeblood is nothing more than a stretched out filler installment. I'd recommend any of her other books over the Everlife series.

3 sterren dus

I'm feeling "meh" about this series. I didn't feel anything toward any of the characters, and some of the "shocking" parts of the story just didn't shock me. So....meh.
