This book is such a tearjerker and it's written so well from the cats perspective.

This book started out funny and witty and was such a page turner! I definitely enjoyed reading this one, treading from one place to another Satoru and Nana took me. The characters are also multidimensional. Some might think some characters are not very much likeable, or even annoying, but given the circumstances, it is in-character and reasonable for them to act that way. What I didn't expect was the reason why Satoru wanted to give Nana away :) I really thought it was for some simple reasons (like him getting married or, like the Sugis assumed, getting laid off from work). But we're not gonna talk about that here. Now, I really wanna point out that the cat's got an attitude! Haha. It's refreshing to see a POV from a cat, how Nana's thoughts processes and how he is always so sassy. I love that Nana and Satoru's relationship grew from a temporary one to the one with deep connection that they even think about the same things and Satoru voicing Nana's thoughts. Their love and care for each other is overflowing, breaking through the 4th dimension and cradles me with warmth. But I also feel extremely sorry for Satoru, for whatever he's gone through, yet he remained aa the kindest, happiest, most grateful person. :")

Such a sweet story, I loved every second of it (even while sobbing for the last 30 pages). Anyone who has ever loved a pet will connect with this book. Would read again and again.

Dear me what a FEEL. But a wonderful meditation on caring and friendship, and how beautiful to read from the perspective of a cat. A cat, with so much sass and devotion, who really feels like a cat. This has increased my already high desire to have a cat one day.
