Beautiful and so poignant... one for the cat lovers out there who understand that cats are not cold and unfeeling creatures at all. The timbre was quite Murakami-esque I thought ... and subsequently saw that the author here used the same translator.

This book completely broke me in the sweetest way. Reading from Nana the cat’s perspective was both funny and heartwarming, but also so devastating when the deeper meaning of the journey hit me. It’s about love, friendship, and saying goodbye and I cried way more than I expected. Such a simple story, but it hits straight in the heart.
