Thank you @gallerybooks #partner and @scoutpressbooks for the free books 💖.

✨What it is about:
Journalist Lo Blacklock attends the grand opening of a luxury Swiss hotel hoping to revive her career—but a late-night encounter with a mysterious woman claiming to be in danger pulls her into a high-stakes chase across Europe, where nothing is as it seems.

💭My thoughts:
I was excited when I got the opportunity to get this arc, and follow up to The Woman in Cabin 10, which was the first book I ever read by Ware and really enjoyed. I read it a while back and barely remembered the characters, so I had to revisit that story a little before jumping unto this one, which Gallery also gifted me. This time around Lo easily throws herself into a sticky situation once again, which I found a little surprising considering her previous experience. After ten years I would have thought she would have known better. This to say you should definitely read book one to get yourself up to speed. Ware does a decent job bringing back details of the other story for those who haven’t read it, but I feel to fully appreciate the storyline, it’s best is to read both books in order for the background and context. The story takes a minute to get moving with a slow start, but the end is jammed packed with twists. I think in order to fully enjoy this you do have to suspend disbelief a little. Things just click way too easily. Some things were kind of predictable, but it was nice revisiting old characters and the story was indeed entertaining!

Read if you like:
🏨Imperfect women characters
🏨Unreliable narrator
🏨Luxury hotel vibes
🏨Drama & suspense
🏨Twists & turns
🏨Satisfying endings
