Never has there been a book that has been more up my alley in terms of plot and humor and quirks and romance. Such a good impulse buy at Target. Which I NEVER DO. Whew.

3 1/2 stars.

Perfectly nice book that goes in some unexpected directions. I don't know that I would go out of my way to mention the book to others, but it definitely has parts of humor and can be charming.

I swear Abbi Waxman has a portal to my head. I first read The Bookish Life of Nina Hill and really enjoyed it, but loved this even more. It was really sweet seeing the Rachel connection from one book to the next. Waxman “gets” the mom brain—I think I have had these very same conversations with my own children. She is incredibly witty and funny in her writing sand I just didn’t want this book to end. Perfect spring read.

Could relate to this as I’m
A young widow. Her sense of humor and no nonsense when it comes to talking about her dead husband and not sugar coating it, her anger, anxiety, were all things I could relate to.. unfortunately
