Slow-paced but atmospheric fantasy.

Loved the portrayal of slow development of insanity in the face of isolation, and I once again love how grave the consequences of using certain types of magic are.

Very enjoyable overall journey. I loved the worldbuilding in this book, though Arren was a less compelling character than others in the series so far. Still greatly enjoyed the book.

Unfortunately my least favourite Le Guin book. Characters are in an interesting spot and Ged is complicated by the narrative here, flaws more apparent than ever. However, the plot is frustratingly uncomplicated and resolves itself too neatly which lets down the character work.
