I get that this is supposed to be a horrible world filled with shitty people but I feel like a couple of the dark moments are a bit too much and doesn't really add much to the story. I still think this world is interesting though and the main character's story is super cool, so I'm still going to read the rest of the series. I'm also just a fan of CSM and wanted to read Fujimoto's other works.

The origin story for the protagonist was cool. Messed up but fantastic. The story has plenty of messed up moments & definitely prescribes to the degeneration of society leading to humans giving into their darker urges. Like early The Walking Dead. I need something to help with the shakes from having caught up with chainsaw man, this earlier work from the same author seems to fit the bill well.

This was honestly too much for me. It was all so fucked so I just didn't really like it. Bestiality, incest, pedophilia, rape, cannibalism, literally any fucked up thing you can think of this series has it. And some of it is just so nonchalant too?? It's a lot and the plot isn't that interesting either so uh yeah. It's a no from me.

Tired of the unnecssary use of objectification and assault of women, death of a female character to drive the MC's journey, and useless, immature dialogues to tell you how cruel this dystopian world is. This volume did not show anything, and all it did was tell you how bad it is. Using SA in every aspect just for the sake of 'telling' you how bad it is out there, is not world building. Cannabalism I get it, there is no food to survive, yes that's definitely horrifying but what the fuck is this incest plot? There can strong sibling bonding without making is sexual. And the fact that she had to die to make him go on a revenge spree, um no. i'm so over that trope.
