I think Goodreads should have an "I quit" button. I honestly tried to read this and old English really doesn't bother me, I actually quite enjoy it. But I could not bring myself to finish it. I barely got 30 pages in. Another time I will try.

I really enjoyed the beginning where he described the context of the narrative. The stories themselves are pretty good, but I loved reading his account of such a horrible event in European history. Some of the stories I skipped over if they weren’t enjoyable (in my opinion).
