In my opinion I think this is too long for a short story collection but on the other hand it's quite a good book that learns you morals.

Un clásico al que tenía muchas ganas de leer pero me intimidaba su tamaño y contexto histórico, aún así me alegro de haberme dado la oportunidad, lo disfruté mucho. Estuve intercalando lo con el audio libro y leyéndolo, igual me ayudó mucho el haberlo hecho en LC ya que no me sentía sola y podía comentar algún que otro cuento en el chat. La mayoría de las historias se me hicieron muy graciosas y picosas. Un libro altamente recomendado para disfrutarlo sin prisas.
I read this in class so it was under the guidance of the professor and I also did not read it in full. It is a series of short tales and the ones I did read were very funny, ironic, and enjoyable considering it's classic literature from the 1400s. The translation wasn't too hard to understand although the professor did help with understanding any symbolism but over all I thought these stories were really funny.
This is a fun anthology to listen to, very vulgar and if reading a translation it’s fun to first look at the summarized versions or to tackle these stories in a group setting like they are told.

This was not for me. It just didn’t do it for me... the shocking scenes were only shocking but I didn’t understand the allure. I do think it was a waste of time. However, enjoyed the artwork in my edition tremendously!
Sheer genius. Boccaccio's short tales range in genres, from the fantastic to the everyday, yet each belies the heart of human nature, which apparently hasn't changed much since the 1300s! This is the pre-Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and lesser-known by the general public. A shame!
