The author had lots of ideas and suggestions in this book to help create a reading culture in your family. Two things I especially appreciated: Being a maker of lists, I liked her lists of read-aloud books for children 0-3, 4-7, 8-12, and 13+. Also, she included ten questions you can use to strike up a conversation with your child, or grandchild, about books they’ve read.

A must read for anyone who wants to make books part of their family culture. Sarah Mackenzie, the host of the Read-Aloud Revival podcast, brings together the background to why one should read aloud to their family, some practical tips of how to make read aloud time a part of your culture and an excellent book list for all ages. I highly recommend this for all families.

I received a free ARC copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Overall I really liked this one. It gave me so many great ideas on how to make reading aloud a part of my life with my daughter!
