I'm surprised by how much 1 liked this. I don't normally read romance. I find it to be a cheesy and predictable genre. I really liked the fact that our MFC did not change who she was or threw away all of her own goals and core beliefs for the MMC. The fact that this took place over the course of 4 weeks made it a bit harder for me to really appreciate the relationship, but the characters and their chemistry were written really well.

This was such a fun book! I love the banter between the two main characters, it's very witty. This had me giggling, I couldn't put it down! I love their story, it's different and it also has a good story between sisters. I wasn't sure how it was going to end which is always fun.

I love an Emily Henry book. First off the characters have great banter. Very clever and dry humor. Didn’t love how much she clung to her mother, it seemed to be a big part of her personality. I love the detail she included with the characters. The details were so intricate they have to be real. Slightly cliche ending.

My first Emily Henry book and I loved it. I do believe that she’s the reason I’m doing things ‘for the plot’ that might get me in trouble but oh well.

I won’t be having sex so these characters might for me.

I love the grumpy x sunshine trope but this book is grumpy x grumpy and I’ve determined that it’s 1 million times better.

I really enjoyed how the opening of the book mirrored the opening of the book discussed within this book, Frigid.

The FMC was relatable in so many ways. If you are a book lover then you can relate to her in some way. The MMC has more depth than you would originally think. The banter and jokes are very well written. ❤️ it is not your typical romance novel.

I picked this read to fulfill a Goodreads challenge but have also read a Henry book before so I knew what was likely to come.
It was a rom-com that hit the mark. Yes, there are character/plot flaws (i.e. Libby was slightlyyyy annoying) but not enough for me to take away positive praise because I truly enjoyed the read. The cheesiness. The happiness. Charlie has a way with words for all those "words of affection" people. But also a little touch of the "physical touch" love language (no pun intended). I rooted for Charlie & Nora!
