Issues, imo, in no particular order:
-Kalinis 15yo when he mentions how he wants to "take" Cara, an adult (age not specified)? Kalin also can't wait until Janie (4yo) is 20yo so he can break her ??? EW
-Mentions of pain during sex. Twice. Definitely dubcon
-Talen says "mine" so often it reminds me of the seagulls from Finding Nemo
-Doesn't indicate when the POV switches
-Excessive use of "male" this, "female" that. For example, "a feminine fear... whispered through her ," and "Talen felt an age-old male instinct to draw blood ." Happened 17 cringeworthy times within 202/415 pages if I counted right.
-Talen is a possessive control freak
·Talen, p.73: "We're married, Cara. Soon we'll be mated. 'No' isn't an option for you. " BLEH
·Talen, p.78: "There was no issue of Cara refusing him. He didn't ask. He took. " 🙄
·p. 81: "Cara gasped in shock as he penetrated her to the hilt, no preliminaries, no easing, just pure, primitive possession. " Um??
-p.136: "She was a female, she was a mate. Love was her calling. He may not be able to feel love in return, but he sure as hell could give her safety and peace. Making sure she smiled and laughed, well, that was his calling now. " Uhhhh she what? He can't what? Was how he "can't love" ever explained or mentioned before?
-A nipple is now a pink berry... Apparently

Just wasn’t enjoying the all over the place plot.
This book has multi-pov but doesn’t tell you when that POV switches, it will switch randomly between paragraphs and unless you are really paying attention you don’t really notice until a few sentences later because the mental voices between all the pov’s are very similar.
