I really enjoyed the unique world in this story, it was a good balance of modern fantasy. I do hope more is explained and we learn more about the world in book 2 I will be continuing the series!

I struggled a bit to get through this book. It was sometimes annoying because of lack of communication between the characters. Even then I kept reading. Second part of the book is better. Afterall still gave it a 4* rating. Still got me intrigued enough to read the second book so that’s a plus.

The first 300 pages were awful. I hated them.
The MMC is stupid. The FMC is annoying. Everyone sucks. 
The plot only got interesting at the 75% mark. 
If I read “accept the bond” one more time I’m jumping off a tall building. Fuck Theon and everyone else.

I do not vibe at all the the worldbuilding I don’t care for the characters and I just don’t like this book. So disappointing too it was highly recommended
