Overall, other than the spicy scenes, this book didn't seem to have too many content warnings. Alcohol is briefly mentioned because Wells used to run a pub. The other two warnings relate to an incident in the final conflict of the book. While it was clearly described it wasn't graphic in nature.annelihghh's review against another edition

It was fun, a little bit spooky and spicy - A perfect cozy witchy book for October which I love! I love how Gwyen is an actual good strong woman who is stubborn but doesn't let that get her into stupid situations like most strong woman characters do, which greatly annoys me.
Wells is such a fun male to read and I love how he became his own person and stood up to his Father, instead of using the useless excuse of "while his actions were bad, his means are good". I love children standing up against their parents, we need more of that.
The only thing I did like was the whole 'Baby Witches' gang, to me they were annoying - maybe it's because I find younger people annoying most of the time?
It's not as good as The Ex Hex, but it's still a fun read to cuddle up with.

I enjoyed this book much more than the first book, The Ex Hex. This book follows Gwyn, the cousin of Vivi, who owns a shop in Graves Glen that is very successful. Wells, Rhys’ older brother, moves to this town and opens up a shop that sells the same things across from Gwyn’s. This creates a rivalry between the two. One day, a love spell manages to find Gwyn and Wells, and it makes the whole situation complicated. On top of that, Gwyn is losing her magic. This was very well written and perfect for Halloween.

You ever read about two characters who are desperate to deny they’ve got feelings for each other so they make up excuses for why they find reasons to kiss that aren’t “im hot for you?” yeah that’s Wells and Gwyn. They are FOOLS and I love them with all my heart.
The mystery is also really well done which tracks because Rachel Hawkins/Erin Sterling also writes thrillers. I loved the balance between the romance and mystery plots. I also loved the brothers, the college age witches who trail Gwyn everywhere she goes, the talking cat, and just the vibes of the town in general.
The smut also does not disappoint 😌
