I actually reeeally enjoyed the first 50-75% of this book, but then it went downhill so fast. The female main character annoyed me SO MUCH by the end of this book. Too bad.. It was overall ok, nothing more.

The book was cute. I’ve read four of the books in this series and this is my least favorite one but I still like it. The plot twist with the nephew was great I didn’t think it was gonna happen. I also really like Clark’s character. I would love if there was a book that was a spinoff of him because I felt like he was a bright light in the book where you could see that he was clearly loyal to Rex but he also wanted to protect Tabitha. It was more simple compared to the other books in the series which I think is the reason why I didn’t like it as much. It’s more generic but I enjoyed it.

This series is just so light, tropey, silly, and fun. This entry was ultimate grumpy v sunshine.

The third-act break-up, like others in the series, is annoying and drags on for too long. If I was binging them all at once, I don't think I'd be able to stand it. But one every 3 months or so has been bearable so far.

This book is easy to read and get into. I’ve been enjoying this world and I love when the characters appear in one of the other books. Rex and Tabitha are interesting, intriguing, entertaining, complex characters. Rex I thoroughly enjoyed and seems to be the stereotypical male in this series. Tabitha on the other hand, there were times when I liked her and times when I didn’t or found her to over-the-top. There were aspects of this story that were truly fun to read and entertaining and other that just didn’t work for me.

I enjoyed the audio version of this story and the narrators – they did a great job.

The hate list thing was actually a stroke of genius. You’re telling me, he had such strong feelings for her, feelings that disrupted his life so much that he thought the feelings just HAD to be hate, when in actuality they were love the whole time?? Like, actual literal tears. He was so ready for her once he realized he actually loved her. He was not playing around. I love when the girl is the emotionally stunted one for once.
